So, "Black Wednesday" fishy-stylee never transpired. I still have a job - hurrah! The press release about the future of SFCs is here on the DEFRA website for any interested parties.

I am, however, slightly disappointed to have to turn down the offer of a job as a fisherman that was extended to me the other week (I'm serious - I'd have had my own boat and everything; it would have been awesome).
